Speaking of html5, i'm working on a couple of projects both employing it, both for businesses in Albuquerque NM.
The first is a small real estate site for Calderwood Realty residing at calderwood-realty.com and currently running on Drupal 6. I'm in the process of taking it off of Drupal and re-implementing it using the same responsive grid system i'm using for my own site.
Because it is a simple site, using Drupal as a content management system seems like overkill and the module-heavy way the mobile site is managed just adds a whole lot of unnecessary complexity (and points of failure).
I've run into a few sticking points both in terms of design and with lightbox validation in html 5 (there's a small snafu with the rel attribute), but i think in the end it will be a lot leaner site and hopefully easier to maintain.
The second project is 4revisions.com. It's a site for the writer Lesley Dahl featuring her editing services and offerings for writers workshops in the area. The site uses Drupal 7 and the html5 adaptive theme ATCommerce. A full blown CMS seemed the best choice here because of the additional functionality the site uses and additional functionality it will require as it grows.
The site is under development, a lot of which Lesley is undertaking herself, but open for business so stop by. There is a form for input to help put together future workshops and you can even upload your work for editing from the site.
